Here is How You Can Help
You can make a fully tax deductible charitable donation to Hope Dolls, Planes, and Trains by contacting us.
We want to convey that we really prefer only quality usable items; something you would buy or wear yourself. The clothes and items we receive from your generosity are the tools that teach the youths we help how to have more power and control in their lives.
Also if donating clothing, please ensure that it is laundered and folded or hung up. The work of cleaning and organizing bags and bags of clothes is sometimes overwhelming even with plenty of volunteers.
So, that teens are not treated differently, donate top brand names oriented toward urban trendy youth styles for our store. All other styles will be used for selling at our on-line ecommerce location. Examples of clothing items in our store are Nike, Eddie Bauerr, Gap, American Eagle and Natural Born.
You can donate collectibles that can be sold on our on-line ecommerce sites or in our store or, sell collectibles for a commission through these same programs. Sell your collectibles on on-line ecommerce for the lowest commission in town. All commissions are not tax-deductible. You can only get a tax deduction if it is entirely donated. This can be anything of quality.
Other quality items that are donated are given to people in our programs and what is not used for our program or on-line ecommerce, will be put into the resale store or recycled. If you or someone you know runs or manages a store with quality, current clothing and accessories that are excess inventory they can be donated to Hope Dolls, Planes, and Trains to either be given to families in need or sold on our on-line ecommerce store or sold in the resale store to raise funds for the program.
Gather members of your church or other organization together and collect quality items for sale in our Resale Store, or toys for the needy children we support. You could also hold a rummage sale to raise money for the program and clean out your garage or basement at the same time. Stuffed animals are always welcome and needed for the prisoner's children to help put a smile on their faces.
